West Northamptonshire Council is looking for a dedicated and proactive Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to help drive forward its place‑shaping agenda.
Responsibilities
- Support the Principal Planning Enforcement Officer by advising on all matters related to planning enforcement.
- Manage your own case load, assist in monitoring investigations, enforce legal compliance and oversee junior staff.
- Take enforcement action where necessary to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to building a flexible and resilient team, working collaboratively to meet service objectives and improve outcomes for the council and community.
- Maintain strong relationships with councillors, local bodies and community groups, ensuring effective communication and a customer‑focused approach to planning enforcement matters.
Qualifications
- Methodical, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
