West Northamptonshire Council is looking for a dedicated and proactive Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to help drive forward its place‑shaping agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Principal Planning Enforcement Officer by advising on all matters related to planning enforcement.
  • Manage your own case load, assist in monitoring investigations, enforce legal compliance and oversee junior staff.
  • Take enforcement action where necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to building a flexible and resilient team, working collaboratively to meet service objectives and improve outcomes for the council and community.
  • Maintain strong relationships with councillors, local bodies and community groups, ensuring effective communication and a customer‑focused approach to planning enforcement matters.

Qualifications
