Administrative Assistant
Starting salary between £24414 and £28152 per annum
Full Time – 37 hours per week
Based at King’s Court Council Offices, King’s Lynn with hybrid working
We have an excellent opportunity for an organised and adaptable individual to join our Democratic Services team. This varied role provides administrative support to the team and Elected Members, helping to ensure Council meetings, Member communications and democratic information are well coordinated, accessible and delivered to a high standard.
You will support the organisation and live-streaming of formal Council meetings, manage Microsoft Teams arrangements, assist with presentations and audio/visual issues, and ensure meetings are recorded for public viewing. You will also help maintain information on Modern.Gov, support agendas, minutes and reports, coordinate Member communications including the Members’ Bulletin, and assist with registers, invoices, expenses and general enquiries.
We are looking for someone with a good standard of education, office experience and strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Teams. You will communicate confidently with officers, Elected Members and the public, work accurately to deadlines, handle confidential and politically sensitive information professionally, and be flexible to support evening meetings when required.
