Help Support the Future of Leadership Development Across Policing. We are continuing to invest in our growing Leadership Team and are seeking an organised, proactive and motivated Business Support Officer to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of leadership development, talent and performance activity across the organisation, contributing to a modern and ambitious leadership and professional development offer. Working within the Leadership Team, the Business Support Officer will provide efficient and effective administrative support to aid the delivery of leadership development programmes, workshops, talent activity and PDR‑related initiatives.
The role is central to ensuring the smooth coordination, administration and management of leadership learning activity and will support a wide range of operational and organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining systems, processes and procedures relating to leadership learning interventions
- Supporting the administration and coordination of leadership programmes, workshops and development activity
- Preparing meeting agendas, actions and minutes
- Monitoring leadership and talent inboxes and responding to correspondence as appropriate
- Preparing responses to internal and external enquiries
- Supporting management information, tracking and reporting activity
- Liaising with Demand and Planning teams regarding leadership learning activity
- Supporting preparation for leadership workshops and delivery events
- Maintaining accurate records relating to leadership courses and interventions
- Monitoring credits and coordinating College of Policing 360 reports and Insights activity
- Arranging learner dates and sharing relevant information and resources
- Maintaining SharePoint and shared drive document management, version control and accessibility
- Upholding data protection principles and ensuring information accuracy and relevance
- Planning and prioritising workload effectively to support team delivery
What we’re looking for
- Experience within an administrative or business support role
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
- Confidence using IT systems and software packages including Microsoft Office applications
- A reasonable level of numeracy to support reporting and tracking requirements
Experience supporting leadership, learning or development activity would be advantageous but is not essential.
