Hours & Schedule
- Hours: 37.5 hours over 5 days.
- Work pattern: Including weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
- Duration: Salaried (MAT Cover for 13 months September 2026 - October 2027).
Responsibilities
- Generate and implement health care programmes for all animals on site.
- Conduct regular preventative care to maintain animal health.
- Maintain WMSP's BALAI and Confined Establishment status and record keeping.
- Collaborate with Wildlife Management to support staff training, health and safety, animal husbandry and animal relocations.
Qualifications
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon registered with RVCS.
- Relevant zoological experience preferred.
- Full, valid driving licence.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including weekends.
- Confident, self‑motivated and enthusiastic about veterinary care for exotic species.
- Professional attitude and ability to work to tight deadlines with a focus on safety.
- Efficient, organised and capable of communicating across all levels of the organisation.
