West Midlands Safari Park are currently recruiting for the position of Night Security Officer to deliver an overnight security service across the site. This exciting role will deliver a security focused service ensuring a safe environment, patrolling throughout the night, monitoring and maintaining the protection of the premises, responding to any irregularities, communicating any key information to team leaders and management, monitoring and analysing CCTV footage and completion of nightly security logs.
As part of your role, you will assist our Guest Service Host function with the delivery of an end-to-end accommodation support service for all of our onsite guests to achieve a consistent delivery of outstanding service at all times.
About you
The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated and enthusiastic, possessing excellent concentration skills whilst remaining alert and aware of surroundings. You will maintain a professional attitude at all times, positively building guest relationships through exceptional interaction and communication skills. You will have previous experience working in a customer‑facing security position, ideally within the hospitality, events or leisure and tourism industry and will hold a current SIA Licence. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, this disclosure will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence. Due to the role accessing all areas across the business, the successful candidate will need to hold a full, valid Driving Licence. You will hold a current First Aid at Work qualification or be willing to undertake a First Aid at Work qualification through the business. You will need to be flexible in your approach to work outside of standard hours, adjustment to standard hours may be required to provide additional support to Safari events and business needs.

In 2021, the Park introduced Safari Lodges – luxury accommodation allowing guests to stay overnight for the first time. Guests can wake up to incredible sights of elephants, giraffe, rhino and red panda, or sleep just a ‘whisker’ away from lions, tigers and cheetahs. In addition, the park is home to three incredible venues – Spring Grove House, Treetops Pavilion and Cellarz, which play host to weddings, corporate events and social celebrations.
