Eligibility Criteria for all Ranks
- You must be transferring from a UK Home Office Police Force or BTP (or previously served as substantive in a UK Home Office Force)
- Outstanding complaints or matters with PSD must be resolved before applying
PC Eligibility Criteria
- You must be substantive OR be within the last 3 months of your probation period
Sergeant/Inspector/Chief Inspector/Superintendent/Ch Superintendent Eligibility Criteria
- You must be substantive at the rank you are applying for with any required training and work based assessments complete and signed off.
Posting
At West Midlands Police our main priority is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the communities we serve. To ensure we are able to provide the best possible service we must make sure all operational postings are filled. All Transferees will be posted into areas where the organisation requires them to be. Your qualifications, experiences and choice of location will be considered; however, the requirements of our communities come first in all posting decisions.
Vetting
Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
Medical
Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
