- Oversee daily operations, allocating workloads and resources to meet service targets.
- Support your team to maintain high standards of performance, safety and professionalism.
- Encourage a culture of proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Address challenges head-on and constructively challenge poor practice when needed.
- Drive collaboration between maintenance, stores, and engineering support teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and industry regulations.
In order to be successful in this role, you must have experience with:
- Proven experience leading and developing technical teams in a production or engineering environment.
- A confident, people-first leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Someone who can hit the ground running and help scale up operations during a period of significant growth.
- Strong understanding of preventative and corrective maintenance in safety-critical environments.
- Ability to manage busy, fast-paced workloads while maintaining high standards.
- A mechanical or electrical engineering-based NVQ Level 3 or higher, or a time-served apprenticeship.
- A full UK driving licence.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have:
- Experience in rolling stock maintenance or within a light rail / rail environment.
- Health and Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH).
