Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of projects, we are seeking an experienced Architect to join our in-house team and help shape our exceptional developments across the West Midlands.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Architect who is passionate about residential design and enjoys working within a fully integrated Design & Build environment. You will work closely with homeowners, planning consultants, structural engineers, surveyors, and our construction team to create innovative, practical, and buildable design solutions that transform homes and maximise property potential. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from concept design and planning applications through to technical detailing and construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client consultations and develop project briefs
- Produce creative concept designs and presentation drawings
- Prepare planning application packages
- Develop Building Regulations and technical drawing packages
- Coordinate with structural engineers and other consultants
- Liaise with the construction team throughout project delivery
- Undertake site visits and design reviews
- Ensure designs comply with current UK Building Regulations and planning policies
- Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the design process
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Architect with relevant UK qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in residential architecture
- Strong experience designing extensions, renovations, conversions, and residential alterations
- Excellent knowledge of UK Planning and Building Regulations
- Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- ARB registration
- Experience working within a Design & Build company
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing
- Experience producing 3D visualisations
- Understanding of Party Wall and permitted development legislation
