We're looking for a Performance & Insight Analyst to play a pivotal role in strengthening how performance, insight and evidence are used across our Technology & Insight Directorate. As a core member of the Digital and Technology Coordination Unit, you'll provide a single, trusted view of performance - helping senior leaders understand how services, products and delivery are performing across RUN and CHANGE. Your insight will directly support better decision making, improved operational maturity and more predictable delivery outcomes across a complex technology landscape.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing and maintaining high quality performance reporting, dashboards and insight packs covering KPIs, OKRs, SLAs, flow metrics and operational risk indicators.
  • Developing and maintaining analytics that provide a clear view of service performance, delivery flow, supplier performance and operational trends.
  • Working with finance colleagues to support cost, value for money and total cost of operation analysis.
  • Providing timely, accurate performance insight to Directors and Heads to support prioritisation and strategic planning.
  • Coordinating lessons learned and continuous improvement cycles following incidents, releases or major delivery milestones.
  • Supporting root cause analysis and tracking improvement actions to completion.
  • Ensuring performance data is robust, auditable and aligned to agreed standards and quality expectations.
  • Providing performance evidence for governance, assurance, audits and corporate reporting cycles.
  • Working collaboratively with product, data, IT, operational teams and suppliers to gather, validate and interpret performance data.
  • Supporting operational forums such as weekly Ops Huddles, reviews and readiness assessments.
  • Maintaining master datasets and ensuring performance information is accurate, consistent and up to date.

What’s essential:

  • Experience in an analyst, performance reporting or insight generation role.
  • Experience working with operational, service, delivery or technology related data.
  • Experience producing dashboards, reports or analytics for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement or lessons learned activities.
  • Strong analytical ability, with excellent attention to detail and disciplined record keeping.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel or similar).
  • Understanding of performance frameworks such as KPIs, OKRs and SLAs.
  • Ability to work with technical teams to gather, validate and interpret performance information.
  • Able to communicate complex performance and operational information clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and high standards of delivery.

Location: The location for this role is 16 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B19 3SD with at least 2 days a week spent in the office.
