About the role
The Counselling Navigator Assistant is a key administrative and client support role within WMRSASC's Counselling Service. You will play an important part in ensuring individuals can access support in a timely, professional and compassionate way.
- Support the administration of counselling services, including appointment management, correspondence, record keeping and data entry.
- Manage referrals, enquiries and service access requests.
- Support the accurate collection and recording of monitoring and performance information.
- Liaise with service users, colleagues and partner agencies as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organisational procedures.
- Contribute to the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the counselling service.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, empathetic and professional, with excellent administrative and communication skills. You will be comfortable handling sensitive information and supporting individuals accessing specialist services.
Essential Requirements
- Experience of working in a role involving administration, client contact and accurate record keeping.
- Experience of managing enquiries, appointments, referrals, waiting lists or service access.
- Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to communicate sensitively and professionally with people accessing services.
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email and databases.
- Empathy, sensitivity and a non-judgemental approach.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice.
Desirable
- Experience of working within a health, social care, education, charity or community setting. cite turn24search1
