Role and Responsibilities
The main purpose of the role is to assist the Digital Forensic unit in providing a quality, high specification analytical and evidential service for the stakeholders of West Mercia Police which can robustly stand up to scrutiny of the legal profession and to ensure that Quality Standards including ISO 17025 and the Forensic Science Regulators (FSR) Codes of practice are maintained and adhered to.
Support the operational requirements of the Digital Forensics Unit through performing administrative tasks including receipt and quality assurance of exhibits and producing reports and undertaking pre-examination, forensic acquisition and post examination of computers, hard drives and other storage devices.
Responsibilities
- Digital Forensics Technician role is an office based role.
- Current vacancies are for Hindlip/Kidderminster; applicants are also welcome to apply for various Dual locations Hindlip/Worcester, Hindlip/Hereford, Hindlip/Telford or Hindlip/Shrewsbury.
- If successful at interview you will be held on file for a period of 18 months for future roles.
