36 hours per week, working to the rota shown below. Due to the nature of the Duty Manager position, a level of flexibility is required for shifts and availability.

  • Week 1: Float 7 hrs, OFF, OFF, Float 7.5 hrs, 2pm - 10pm, 8am - 4pm, 8am - 4pm (Total: 38.5 hrs)
  • Week 2: Float 7.5 hrs, 6.15am - 12.15pm, 6.15am - 12.15pm, 6.15am - 12.15pm, 2pm - 10pm, OFF, OFF (Total: 33.5 hrs)
  • Week 3: Float 7.75 hrs, 3.30pm - 10pm, 3.30pm - 10pm, 3.30pm - 10pm, 2pm - 10pm, OFF, OFF (Total: 36 hrs)

About the Role:

As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of our swimming pools, gym, leisure areas, sports halls, fitness spaces and outdoor pitches. You will act as the first point of contact, manage staff, and help deliver an exceptional experience for all our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the leisure facilities
  • Ensure a safe environment by applying health & safety procedures and completing facility checks
  • Lead, support, and motivate the team
  • Provide excellent customer service and deal with queries or issues promptly
  • Assist with bookings, events, and activity scheduling
  • Ensure equipment is set up properly and the site remains clean and organised

About You:

  • Confident, friendly, and customer-focused
  • Has a minimum of 1-2 years supervisory experience and can lead, manage and motivate a team
  • Organised and capable of taking initiative
  • Strong administrator who can prioritise their workload
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and solve problems quickly
  • Experienced in leisure, sports, or facility management (desirable)
  • Qualified with a First Aid certificate or willingness to achieve
  • Qualified pool lifeguard with a current NPLQ or willingness to achieve
  • Flexible and willing to work evenings/weekends as part of the rota
