Recycling & Waste Services wish to recruit an individual to work as part of the Disposal team to safely repair and maintain West Lothian’s Recycling Centres and Recycling Points.
Work pattern: Fixed: 4 days per week. Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.
Working hours: 07:30-17:00, 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Tasks will include:
- A category B driving licence is required together with a full current and valid CPC and driver card (tachograph card).
- Carrying out general repair & maintenance activities at the Recycling Centres & Points located throughout West Lothian.
- Inspection, cleaning and maintenance of containers such as skips, compactors, wheeled bins and bin housing.
- Repairing and fixing signage or fencing.
- Painting and line marking.
- Cleaning and preparing a job site.
- Loading and delivering materials.
- Delivering fuel and fuelling equipment at Recycling Centres.
- Using a variety of tools such as power drills, grinders, saws and water spraying equipment.
- Operating equipment such as a lawnmower, strimmer, leaf blower, pressure washer, telescopic handler, tail-lift and forklift.
