Deans Community High School is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic classroom teacher. The successful candidate will support the vision for the school and implement strategies to achieve this vision. This is a key post which comes at an exciting and challenging time for education.
Deans Community High School is a six-year non-denominational comprehensive school offering our students a progressive, relevant, challenging and enjoyable curriculum with opportunities for personalisation and choice. We are fully committed to engaging our students in their learning and make it a priority to ensure that all students have the opportunity to enjoy a high quality educational experience at Deans. Current roll is around 1000 pupils.
We offer a wide and varied curriculum, emphasising the need for learners to be as successful as possible in their attainment. We recognise and value a range of achievements in music, art, sport, technology, dance, drama, enterprise and interpersonal skills. The school building offers outstanding facilities including a theatre, swimming pool, dance studio and comprehensive music suite. Students are encouraged to make the most of these through our curriculum and numerous extra-curricular activities.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate. The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18.
