The Service Development Officer will support the implementation and development of the service unit’s business systems and procedures.
The Service Development Officer will have a sound working knowledge of local taxes, service accounts, debt recovery and income management in order to fully exploit the opportunities for streamlining processes and simplifying the customer journey.
The Service Development Officer will work across teams and service areas to assist in the development and improvement of the Revenues service delivered to our customers.
- Identify opportunities offered by new system developments to enable service unit functions to be delivered as efficiently and effectively as possible.
- Identify areas of existing business systems that require development and improvement.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders and customers to ensure the needs of service users are integral to service redesign whilst ensuring all legislative requirements are met.
- Work with internal and external auditors to ensure the integrity of the systems are maintained.
- Work closely with the Anti-Poverty Service Benefits Team to coordinate testing, implementation and development of core systems.
