Sinclair Academy seeks to appoint a highly motivated Pupil Support Worker to join our support team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, creative, and passionate individual to work in a new state-of-the-art denominational secondary school, which opened in August 2023 and is located in the rapidly growing community of Winchburgh. The school shares high-standard sports facilities with Winchburgh Academy, accessible to the community.
We believe our Pupil Support Workers are vital in creating a safe and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will support the school in fostering an inclusive, ambitious, and positive culture with a future-oriented mindset to ensure the best outcomes for pupils and families. They will play a key role in building our community of learning and faith, based on our values of Aspiration, Integrity, Mercy, and Service, and will be involved in the wider life of the school.
As the school grows, everyone in the team will collaborate to provide enriching experiences for our pupils. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in something exciting and innovative. The school’s capacity is expected to reach 660 pupils by 2028, with potential future expansion up to 1,210 pupils.
This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will need to join or update their PVG Scheme check before an employment offer is made by West Lothian Council.
