We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. You will work within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) (Social Work) in partnership with Housing Support Services to contribute to the provision of a range of flexible services to meet the needs of individuals experiencing problematic mental health issues who are threatened by homelessness & during the transition from temporary or emergency accommodation. The role encourages individuals to achieve independence.

You will be based within a Social Work Team, which includes Social Workers and Mental Health Workers, within a multidisciplinary service comprising O.T., Psychology, Psychiatry, and Mental Health Nursing staff.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the start date to become registered. You must submit your application within three months of your start date. If already registered with SSSC, you will need to add West Lothian Council to your account.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer of employment is made by West Lothian Council.
