36 hrs per week, 52.14 weeks per year - Permanent

You will support the Passenger Transport Manager in ensuring that the council's passenger transport services are effectively delivered to customers, clients, service users, and the residents of West Lothian.

Duties will include organising and managing a team of officers, ensuring the safe, efficient completion of work, whilst meeting stated quality standards, performance indicators, and targets.

In-depth knowledge of passenger transport issues relating to the provision of specialist and public services and a proven track record of leading and motivating staff is essential.

Essential:
  • Educated to degree level in relevant discipline or suitable relevant equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of passenger transport issues relating to the provision of specialist and public services.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating staff.
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally and have good negotiation skills.
  • Must be numerate, literate, with excellent communication skills.
