Eliburn Nursery Class is located in the former Livingston Family Centre building in Eliburn and is the associated nursery for Peel Primary School. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and nurturing ELC Practitioner to join the team in the nursery. The setting is open for 50 weeks a year and staff work flexibly across the opening hours.
The successful candidate will work as part of a forward-thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality, caring interactions and learning and teaching experiences.
The post is 24 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 7.45am-12.30pm and Friday 7.45am-12.45pm.

The post-holder must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early years educational establishment.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
