In West Lothian we believe that all children should get the best start in life and should get the help they need when they need it. You will be based in our Child Disability Service providing a social work service to children and young people affected by disability and their parents/carers. This work includes the undertaking of Section 23 assessments, co-ordinating packages of support and developing Adult Carer Support Plans.
We offer a supportive working environment with induction for new staff, regular planned supervision, a controlled workload and a professional development plan with varied training opportunities. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your registration.
