An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy HR Support Team who are responsible for providing advice and information on HR employment policies and procedures, processing of contractual documentation to strict deadlines and administering the recruitment process for the Council.
In this specialized role, you will also take the lead in administering employee benefits programs and assisting with the coordination of key Teaching staffing processes as directed.
The ideal candidate would have previous experience of working within a busy HR department, have up to date knowledge of employment legislation as well as dealing with contracts of employment including processing related documentation to a high degree of accuracy.
The successful candidate should have well developed communication and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to act with tact and diplomacy when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information.
Preferably the successful candidate would have experience of working within local government, have experience of employee benefit schemes and teachers’ terms and conditions, but not essential.
In addition, experience of using the Council’s HR & Payroll system iTrent would be desirable although training will be provided.
This post may be carried out on a hybrid basis in line with the council’s Flexible Working policy.
