St Ninian's Primary School nursery class are looking for an enthusiastic Pupil Support Worker to support nursery pupils. The Post Holder will work with and support nursery pupils in a range of situations. They are an integral part of the Nursery team involved in implementing strategies designed to improve pupil performance in the following areas:
- Progress in learning and engagement by learning through play.
- Personal and social development and skills in independence.
- Developing relationships with peers and staff.
- Supporting the personal care of pupils.
- Supporting the preparation of nursery snacks and supervision of pupils while eating meals.
Preferred candidates must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). They must become registered within six months from the date of commencement. If already registered, you must add West Lothian Council to your account. This post is Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates should join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment.
