Calderwood Nursery School is situated within the village of East Calder and serves the local area. The setting consists of am, pm and full day learners aged between three and five. The nursery provides spacious learning areas and there is a large outdoor and garden area. Calderwood Nursery falls under the management of Calderwood Primary School, which is situated in the same building. The setting is open 50 weeks per year and staff work flexibly on a rota across the opening hours.
Calderwood Nursery School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated part time Pupil Support Worker to join our Nursery team to provide absence cover. The successful candidate will work as part of a forward thinking team, which has a sound knowledge of child development and responds to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality interactions and learning and teaching experiences.
We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
