The predicted salary is between 24000 - 28000 £ per year.

36 hrs per week, 52.14 weeks per year - Fixed Term until 31 December 2026. We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. The opportunity has arisen within West Lothian Council, Housing, Customer & Building Services for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Estates Assistant to join our team to deliver a high quality service in respect of estate management services. This will include:

  • Provision of estate management services including inspections of communal stairs/bin/garden areas, participate in environmental visual audits, community clear ups ensuring that issues are resolved in accordance with policy.
  • Co-ordination and implementation of gas and electric forced entries in line with procedure to ensure the council fulfils its statutory compliance duties.
  • Responsible and accountable for the implementation of relevant Housing Management policies and procedures and ensure compliance with current legislation, regulation and good practice.
  • Working with internal and external partners seeking appropriate solutions to assist and support our tenants in our community to sustain their tenancy in their neighbourhood.

Essential to have a Chartered Institute of Housing Level 2 qualification or equivalent, or recent relevant experience of working in a frontline customer focused environment. Have highly developed communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Ability to record and report information accurately and concisely both verbally and in writing. Work effectively under pressure with the ability to prioritise own workload. Good knowledge of various IT packages.
