Bathgate Early Years Centre is managed by the Headteacher of Balbardie Primary School. We are seeking to appoint a nurturing and motivated, part time pupil support worker. The setting operates 50 weeks of the year, where the successful candidate will be required to work 26 hours over Monday to Thursday.

The successful candidate will bring a sound knowledge of early level play and child development as well as a commitment to support practitioners to deliver high quality learning experiences and interactions whilst effectively working as part of our nursery team to plan, evaluate and report on children’s progress.

We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
