Windyknowe Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and nurturing ELC Practitioner to join the team in the nursery. The successful candidate will work as part of a forward-thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality, caring interactions and learning and teaching experiences.

The post is a fixed term, part time post – working mornings Monday to Friday. The post-holder must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment.

The post-holder must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a practitioner and will be subject to Enhanced Disclosure. We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
