Carmondean Primary School and nursery situated in the Deans area of Livingston serves the local community. We are a 50-week setting, providing a mixture of full-day and half-day places. Staff work flexibly across the opening hours.
Carmondean Early Learning Centre (ELC) is seeking to appoint a highly motivated ELC Practitioner to join our nursery team. The successful candidate will work as part of a forward-thinking team, bringing sound knowledge of child development and responding to the individual needs of each child by providing high-quality interactions and learning experiences.
As a member of the ELC team, you will support the provision of a high-quality learning environment for all children, promoting challenge, curiosity and creativity. The building offers spacious learning areas and a large outdoor garden.
We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
