Job Advert 32 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, Fixed Term until 15 August 2027 St Nicholas Primary School is a denominational school which provides for nursery children and stages P1-P7 with a current roll of 393 and 65 in the nursery. Its catchment area caters for children living in Broxburn, Uphall, Uphall Station and Dechmont. St Nicholas Primary School is an integral part of the local community both educationally and socially. There are active and effective Parish/ Community links through St. John Cantius and St Nicholas RC Church in Broxburn. Strong links also exist with Sinclair Academy, Winchburgh and the cluster primary schools. The school runs a very successful breakfast club and provides after school clubs at various times throughout the year. We are now seeking a Pupil Support Assistant to join our team in the nursery which is open 50 weeks per year and staff work flexibly on a rota across the opening hours. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate. The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18. The £59 cost (where appropriate) will be deducted from your salary over a 1 or 3-month period by repayment schedule. If your employment concludes before the amount is re-paid in full, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final salary.
