Blackburn Primary School is looking for two highly motivated Pupil Support Workers to join the team. Blackburn Primary School is a non-denominational school located in Blackburn, West Lothian. It currently has 5 mainstream classes, 2 Enhanced Education Resource Base classes and an Early Learning Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity for committed Pupil Support Workers to be part of a motivated school community, demonstrating a good knowledge of child development to meet the needs of all learners. We are looking for someone to maintain a positive climate for learning and have a commitment to strong collegiality and teamwork.
The successful candidate will work within our school to develop positive and nurturing relationships with all children in our setting, providing high-quality interactions and interventions throughout their practice and supporting the emotional needs of all learners.
This position requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council. The successful candidate will have three months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC and to start working towards a relevant qualification within a 5 year period. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
