Hopefield Nursery Class is located within Blackburn Primary School in the village of Blackburn. We provide high-quality early learning and childcare for children aged 2-5 years, offering morning, afternoon and full-day sessions. Open 50 weeks per year, our staff team works flexibly across opening hours to create a nurturing, engaging and inclusive environment where children can learn, play and thrive. The nursery is open 50 weeks per year and staff work flexible across the opening hours on a rota.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated part-time ELC Practitioner to join our dedicated team. The successful applicant will work Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternate Fridays as part of a forward-thinking team with a sound knowledge of child development. They will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high-quality interactions, learning and teaching experiences that support children's wellbeing, development and learning.

The post-holder must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment.

\n

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.

\n

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made
