Blackburn Primary School/Hopefield Nursery Class are seeking to appoint a nurturing and motivated, full time ELC practitioner on a fixed term basis. The setting operates 50 weeks of the year, and the successful candidate will be required to work flexibly across the opening hours of 7.45am to 6.15pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am to 12.45pm every Friday.
The successful candidate will bring a sound knowledge of early level play and development as well as a commitment to providing high quality learning experiences and interactions whilst effectively working as part of our nursery team to plan, evaluate and report on children’s progress.

The post-holder must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
