Bathgate Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic Principal Teacher Spaces & Inclusive Pathways with Partners (Inclusion). The successful candidate will support the school's vision and implement strategies to achieve this vision. This is a key post which comes at an exciting and challenging time for education in the school.

Bathgate Academy is a comprehensive non-denominational school and serves as a cluster of five primary schools. The school roll is currently 1215 and this is steadily rising due to housing developments within the area and an ever-increasing confidence from the community about the standard of education we provide.

Our motivated staff, students, parents, carers and the community we serve have worked hard to further improve all aspects of our school. The post holder will be an active member of the school's Extended Leadership Team with a remit in relation to the development, promotion and quality assurance of targeted support within our Spaces and Inclusive Pathways Faculty at Bathgate Academy.

The successful candidate will ensure a high-quality student experience that reflects curricular design principles and student entitlements with the ultimate aim of maximised inclusion to ensure all of our learners are present, participating, achieving and supported.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate. The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18. The £59 cost (where appropriate) will be deducted from your salary over a 1 or 3-month period by repayment schedule. If your employment concludes before the amount is re-paid in full, the outstanding balance will be deducted from your final salary.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
