An opportunity has arisen within the Housing Strategy and Development for a Team Leader (Assets) to join a team which strives for excellence and innovation in service delivery and works well with partners.

The Housing Strategy and Development Team is one of six service units within Housing, Customer and Building Services providing a wide range of services including the housing capital investment programme and asset management of the housing stock, the delivery of the affordable housing programme, and the development of housing policy and strategy for the service.

Working for the Team Manager Housing Investment, you will lead the Housing Assets Team within Housing Strategy & Development and co-ordinate, manage and supervise the work of its staff in the condition survey programme, development of housing asset management programmes and energy strategies. Most importantly you will be coordinating asset management activities in support of the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) and Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) works. Your team will also manage the Open Market Acquisition Scheme.

This permanent role represents an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual. With a professional manner and excellent communication skills, you should be able to work to deadlines and possess a sound technical knowledge of housing, Technical Standards and building contracts.
