Overview

This post is to work within the Council\'s estate of buildings undertaking cleaning duties as directed by line manager in accordance with the practices and procedures of the service. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties within the Council\'s estate of buildings as directed by the line manager in accordance with service practices and procedures.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Attend assigned shifts and complete tasks to the required standard and timeframes.

Locations and Terms

  • Bathgate Partnership — 1 post — 12.00 hrs per week — 52 weeks per year — Rate £13.06 per hour. Schedule: Mon-Thu 06:00, Fri 08:30; 12:00 hours on the week.
  • Brucefield House — 1 post — 9.50 hrs per week — 52 weeks per year — Rate £13.06 per hour. Schedule: Mon-Thu 07:00, Fri 09:00; 9.50 hours on the week.

Requirements and Compliance

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
