Overview
Lecturer - Motor Vehicle β Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment, Contract: Permanent, Hours: 8.75 hours per week. Salary: Β£41,833 - Β£50,359 pro rata, per annum (dependent on experience).
West Lothian College are seeking an outstanding lecturer to contribute to their team. The successful lecturer will be part of the Computing, Engineering & the Built Environment faculty and will develop and teach the next generation of motor mechanics, delivering high-quality teaching and a varied learning experience focused on progression and employability.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery and assessment of courses from SCQF Level 4 to Level 7.
- Develop course materials for online and face-to-face learning.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the College and work flexibly within the team.
- Deliver and assess programmes from SCQF Level 4 up to Higher National Certificate and Apprenticeship Programmes.
- Develop and deliver programmes incorporating new technologies to engage learners and support progression using a wide range of delivery methods.
Qualifications
- Educated to at least SCQF Level 7 and time-served Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
- Teaching Qualification (preferred).
- Qualifications listed: L&D9D, L&D9DI, & L&D11.
- Ability to engage with learners of different levels and abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to deliver to a high standard within given timeframes.
