West Lothian College are looking to appoint an outstanding barbering lecturer who will demonstrate the necessary commitment and enthusiasm to contribute to their team. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team within the Business, Creative and Enterprise Centre, you will be committed to the delivery of high quality teaching and a varied learning experience, focused on progression and employability.
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer to contribute to the delivery and assessment of a range of courses from SCQF Level 4 to Level 7. You will develop course materials for online and face to face learning, work flexibly and collaborate effectively with other members of the College.
Qualifications
- Educated in barbering and hold an SVQ Level 3 in Barbering (SCQF Level 6) and/or an Assessor qualification. In the absence of an Assessor qualification the candidate must be willing to work towards this qualification within a set timescale.
- A teaching qualification and lecturing experience within the Barbering Sector is desirable.
Classes are scheduled as follows:
- Monday - 9am - 12pm
- Tuesday - 4.30pm - 7.30pm

Candidates that have been selected for interview will be required to deliver a 10 minute presentation and undertake a competency and values based interview.
