Job Description: Hours and days are as required. West Lothian College is looking to expand its register of bank lecturers. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team within the Care, Health and Sport faculty, you will be committed to the delivery of high-quality teaching and a varied learning experience, focused on progression and employability.
We are currently seeking qualified and motivated bank lecturers to join our team on an as-needed basis in the following specialisms:
- Childhood Practice
- Health and Social Care
- Social Science
- Sport and Fitness
We are looking for individuals who can be flexible on a fixed term ‘as and when’ basis. Core college working hours, which may be required during, are Monday to Friday 8:30am–4:30pm. The college is also open for evening classes on a Tuesday and Thursday. We are requesting bank staff with availability to work during these times.
Applications are invited to contribute to the delivery and assessment of a range of courses from SCQF Level 4 to Level 8. You will develop course materials for online and face-to-face learning, work flexibly, and collaborate effectively with other members of the college.
Applicants should have appropriate experience to deliver current evidence-based practice up to SCQF level 9 and have a degree or appropriate professional qualification in their specialist field, along with sound practical work experience in an appropriate setting. A teaching qualification and lecturing experience within the specialism is preferable.
