Ealing NHS Talking Therapies, launched in 2008, is one of three services within West London NHS Trust. We are a large, established team of over 70 staff and continue to expand. Based mainly in Ealing, we have more than 16 clinic rooms and two open‑plan offices, and we also run clinics across the borough in areas such as Southall, Acton, and Chiswick. Many team members have been with us since the start.

Professional Support

As a qualified therapist, you’ll receive weekly clinical supervision, monthly line management, and monthly step‑3 clinical skills sessions. Our hybrid model supports clinicians in meeting accreditation requirements. We also operate a daily duty system with prompt debriefs for new assessments.

Therapy Modalities and CPD

We offer all Talking Therapies‑approved modalities, including EMDR, DIT, IPT, BCT, and CfD, and strongly support CPD. Staff regularly access shared training with neighbouring services in H&F and Hounslow, covering areas such as complex PTSD, LTC, OCD, and perinatal work. We are also one of only two London services offering a therapeutic exercise group, “Running to Better Health,” which consistently shows strong recovery outcomes.

Well‑being and Working Hours

Staff wellbeing is a priority, supported by a new QI project and confidential reflective groups. To meet community needs, we run evening clinics (until 8pm) Monday–Thursday. Shifts include 8am–4pm and/or 12pm–8pm. Ealing Talking Therapies is an excellent place to further develop your clinical skills.

Who We’re Looking For

We would love to hear from you if you are a qualified modality practitioner with postgraduate training in counselling, psychotherapy, or counselling psychology, fully accredited with BACP or UKCP, and trained in one or more Talking Therapies–approved specialist modalities. You should be able to demonstrate strong therapeutic relationships and be an inspirational, collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, committed to improving access to psychological therapies across Ealing.

Role Details

A full‑time clinician typically works at least one evening session (12pm–8pm, Monday–Thursday) and completes an average of 20 attended clinical contacts per week, including treatment, assessments, meetings, admin, therapy groups, supervision, and project work. This varied job plan supports the development of project management, leadership, and supervision skills.

Flexible Hours

We welcome applicants interested in flexible or part‑time hours. You will need experience in risk management and assessment, formulation, and treating disorders appropriate for Talking Therapies. Any gaps in experience can be supported through our comprehensive CPD and supervision programme, alongside regular debriefs and senior duty cover.

Diversity and Inclusion

We particularly encourage applications from clinicians interested in service development within ethnic minority communities and supporting improvements in treatment outcomes and equitable access.
