This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for designing, delivering, and embedding strategic transformation programmes that focus on improving integration, quality, efficiency, and sustainability across both clinical and corporate services. The Director of Transformation will provide expert leadership in change management, ensuring successful implementation of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Extensive senior leadership experience within the NHS , with a deep understanding of healthcare systems, policies, and the challenges facing the sector.
- A track record of successfully leading complex transformation programmes and achieving measurable improvements in performance, financial outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills , with the ability to translate vision into actionable, impactful plans.
- Experience working closely with Board-level executives and leading transformation initiatives with broad stakeholder engagement, particularly with partners across Place and system partnerships.
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with a variety of stakeholders, creating strong collaborations and partnerships across multiple organisations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills , able to influence and lead diverse teams to achieve shared goals.
- Expertise in leading change management and ensuring the successful integration of new systems and processes within the Trust.

Qualifications
- Demonstrable equivalent experience and expertise at senior management level within a health or social care setting.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Programme or Project Management Qualification.
Experience
- Proven track record of leadership and programme management at a senior level for a minimum of 5 years.
- Successful track record of managing & communicating complex organisational change and development of clinical services, including public consultation on service change.
- Experience of strategy development.
- Experience of leading and successfully implementing service developments & developing business cases within a health or social care setting.
- Demonstrable achievement in negotiating and influencing others.
