We are looking for a professional with leadership skills and a passion to be part of the Speech and Language therapy service as a B5 part time post for a fixed term of 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivery of a highly specialist service, under the direction of the senior SLT demonstrating evolving expertise and specialist skills in areas such as Dysphagia and Communication.

This is a part time B5 SLT role, offered as a Fixed term contract for 12 months.
Responsibilities:- The successful candidate will independently manage a caseload of Dysphagia for people with learning disabilities and their communication needs.
- They will maintain a high standard of clinical work and offer a person-centred approach to client assessment and intervention by using appropriate treatment procedures and following established standards as guided by the Senior SLT in the team.
- They might also be expected to take part or initiate appropriate quality measures, research or clinical studies that can improve the service and the experience of the service users.
- They will be expected to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, carers, and other local services.
- The post holder also is required to deliver formal and informal training to staff and carers and participate in regular team meetings, and clinical supervision.
- They will be flexible, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to reflect on their own practice.
- They will show respect and compassion for people with learning disabilities, and their families.
