We currently have opportunities for three Clinical Team Leader posts within inpatient wards in the Low Secure and Forensic Community Directorate. As a Clinical Team Leader, you will support the Ward Manager in providing operational leadership and day-to-day management of nursing staff, working closely within a multi-disciplinary team. You will play a key role in developing effective care pathways and promoting recovery-focused, patient-centred care across all stages of treatment.

Responsibilities

  • To provide support and supervision to a group of nursing staff
  • To develop and maintain communication with individuals or groups of patients, carers and staff, about difficult or complex matters, overcoming any problems in communication in different situations
  • To develop own knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of others
  • To promote, monitor and maintain best practice in health, safety and security of self and others in own work area
  • To appraise, interpret and apply suggestions, recommendations and directives to improve services
  • To contribute to quality improvement
  • To promote people's equality, diversity and rights
  • To contribute to promoting health and well-being and preventing adverse effects on health and well-being
  • To assess complex health and well-being needs and develop, monitor and review care-plans to meet those needs
  • To plan, deliver and evaluate care to address people's complex health and well-being needs

Qualifications

Applicants must be current Band 5 Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurses within West London Forensic Services, with at least 18 months' experience. You will be a motivated and resilient individual, capable of managing complex clinical situations and supporting high-quality care delivery. The role requires strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to act as a professional role model for nursing staff.
