West London NHS Trust is delighted to announce the availability of a full-time substantive consultant liaison psychiatry post based in West Middlesex University Hospital, a London teaching district general hospital.

Job Summary

The post-holder will join a settled, close‑knit, well‑led, PLAN‑accredited team with 2.8 whole‑time equivalent consultants. The role involves working with the liaison service team manager and fellow consultants to provide clinical expertise in assessing and managing patients in the hospital, and to develop training for hospital teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise to the team in assessing and managing patients in the hospital.
  • Develop training for hospital teams and contribute to developing hospital systems to improve patient care.
  • Build relationships with colleagues in the acute trust, demonstrating strong communication skills and a record of partnership building across professional groups.
  • Contribute to the broader strategic developments and clinical governance of the service as a member of the trust‑wide liaison psychiatry senior management team.
