An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to provide senior leadership and support the development of a newly forming Complex Psychosis team in the Borough of Hounslow as team manager, bringing together the existing Community Rehabilitation Service and new investment for service users who need an assertive approach to engagement as part of their clinical presentation.

Successful candidates will show significant knowledge and experience of the clinical, policy and legislative frameworks that support the care of people experiencing psychosis with complex needs, and will have demonstrated clinical leadership and operational management experience within a multi-disciplinary team setting; taking responsibility for the delivery of high-quality care in line with key performance indicators, supporting the response to governance requirements and shaping the team to develop and change in line with emerging Borough, Trust or National policy and guidance.

West London NHS Trust Local Services have recently moved to a Borough-based structure and as part of the Borough Management team, this role is key in shaping the service development, governance and care delivery within the Hounslow Complex Psychosis Team as well as contributing to the overarching management of care for Trust services within Hounslow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational management, leadership and accountability within the team.
  • Support lead practitioners and professional leads to ensure delivery of high-quality clinical care across the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Support effective clinical governance and manage fiscal responsibilities.
  • Lead development of the team with emerging national and trust guidance, together with support from the Specialist Services Service Manager.
  • Establish and maintain relationships internally with other Trust teams in Hounslow and externally with primary care networks, adult social care, local communities and VCSE providers.
  • Participate in and support the maintenance of new and existing relationships across the health and social care system.
Key Qualifications
  • Significant knowledge and experience of clinical, policy and legislative frameworks for care of people experiencing psychosis with complex needs.
  • Clinical leadership and operational management experience within a multi-disciplinary team setting.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality care in line with key performance indicators and governance requirements.
  • Track record of delivering performance targets and shaping service development in line with emerging policy and guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering patient-centred quality care to a population with complex clinical needs.
