We are looking for a professional with leadership skills and a passion to be part of the therapy service as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivery of a highly specialist Occupational therapy service, demonstrating highly specialist expertise and specialist Occupational therapy skills.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a highly specialist Occupational therapy service, demonstrating expertise and specialist skills.
- Independently manage a caseload of people with learning disabilities, maintaining a high standard of clinical work and a person-centred approach to assessment and intervention.
- Take part or initiate appropriate quality measures, research or clinical studies to improve the service.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, service users, carers and other local services.
- Supervise student placements and other relevant trainees in the team and, where appropriate, supervise apprentices.
- Deliver formal and informal training to staff and carers and participate in regular team meetings.
- Show respect and compassion for people with learning disabilities and their families.
Qualifications
We are looking for a professional with leadership skills and a passion to be part of the therapy service as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will have a Band 6 Specialist Occupational therapist developmental post with a scope to progress to Band 7 Senior Occupational therapist in 18 months.
