About the Role:
We are looking to recruit multiple Technician roles in Plumbing, Carpentry, and Plastering to support the delivery of outstanding learning experiences at our Construction & Green Skills Centre of Excellence. These roles are perfect for individuals with industry experience who are looking to help shape the next generation of skilled professionals.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the workshops by managing materials, tools, and equipment, while ensuring a safe, organised, and industry-standard learning environment. You will assist with practical demonstrations, support the teaching staff, and contribute to the maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the practical delivery of plumbing, carpentry, and plastering courses, ensuring that workshops and learning environments are fully stocked, clean, safe, and ready for each session.
- Assist in the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of resources, tools, and materials, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work alongside teachers to support practical demonstrations and student learning, including supervising learners in the workshop.
- Support in the procurement of materials and equipment, keeping accurate records and maintaining a stock inventory.
- Contribute to the assessment and feedback process for learners, and help maintain a high standard of health and safety within all practical environments.
- Assist with the development and updating of teaching aids and learning resources.
- Maintain and support the upkeep of College equipment and facilities in your assigned trade area.
- Attend regular departmental and team meetings, and assist with departmental activities such as enrolments and marketing.
