Are you passionate about ensuring students with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities receive the support they need to thrive? West London College is seeking a dedicated and dynamic ALS Team Leader to oversee the work of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and champion the success of our SEN learners.As an ALS Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in supporting learners with SEN by leading and coordinating high-quality additional learning support. You will work closely with the SENCo to ensure effective implementation of Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), manage LSAs, and foster a culture of high expectations and success for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the SENCo in managing additional learning support for Foundation Learning and mainstream provision.
  • Oversee the delivery and quality assurance of EHCP provisions.
  • Line manage a team of campus-based LSAs (Scale 4).
  • Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to meet individual learner needs.
  • Use data to identify underachievement and implement targeted interventions.
  • Assist with applications for Exam Access Arrangements and maintain accurate records.
  • Act as the first point of contact for ALS inquiries and deputize for the SENCo when required.
  • Monitor learner progress and support annual reviews and parental meetings.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, safeguarding, and high expectations.
