The Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Lecturer to join our English department at Hammersmith campus. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across English programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential. The role involves classroom and workshop-based delivery, learner support, assessment, and contribution to curriculum development, ensuring provision remains industry-relevant and aligned with awarding body requirements. Where appropriate, you may also take responsibility for leading a study programme or course, including curriculum design, quality assurance and learner outcomes.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching, training and assessment across English programmes.
  • Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and high-quality teaching materials in line with College and awarding body requirements.
  • Act as a Personal Tutor, providing academic and pastoral support and delivering the College tutorial programme.
  • Monitor learner attendance, progress, behaviour and achievement, taking appropriate action where required.
  • Integrate English and Maths into vocational teaching and support delivery of GCSE and/or Functional Skills where required.
  • Act as an internal assessor and internal verifier as required.
