West London Business are looking for a motivated individual to join us as an Events and Marketing intern from September 2026 for a minimum of nine months. The successful candidate would be responsible for supporting both the Policy and Events Manager and the Membership and Communications Manager in our events and marketing campaigns across the organisation.

Events
The Events and Marketing Intern will gain experience assisting our Policy & Events Manager in all aspects of event planning, including processing and managing delegates’ registrations and bookings, processing invoices, promoting our events on social media through designing media content, liaising with both venues and delegates, and assisting with event delivery. The Events and Marketing Intern will also assist in the planning and organisation of the West London Business Awards 2027.
Marketing and Communications
The Events and Marketing Intern will assist the Membership and Communications Manager in marketing and client relationships with our members and strategic partners. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the membership team with client relationship management
- Working with our CRM system for maximum effectiveness (Salesforce)
- Developing communications to keep our contacts up to date with the latest events/news/offers from West London Business
- Maintenance of the WLB website and keeping content relevant and up to date
- Monitoring outstanding invoices and taking appropriate actions
- Promote membership, events and other materials on Social Media
- Understanding the market in which we operate and identifying where services & offers can be improved
- Attending networking events and engaging with WLB’s professional network
- Ad-hoc duties as required to improve our marketing functions
Skills & Requirements
Essential
- You will be in the second year or beyond of a bachelor’s degree in an Events, Marketing, Hospitality or adjacent background.
- Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident and professional telephone and email manner
- Of a gregarious and inquisitive nature, willing to apply organisational skills and attention to detail
- A competent user of the Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Keen interest in event management and production with a creative flair
- Able to produce compelling marketing copy
- Pro-active and enthusiastic attitude to learn and develop
Desirable
- Skilled in using Canva, Photoshop or similar content creation platforms
- Knowledge of West London geography
- Currently living within a 1 hour travel distance of our offices in London W12
- Experience in event planning and management
- A creative showreel where you apply your existing social media or creative skills
