We are looking to appoint an Environmental Health Technical Officer on a permanent, part-time basis and provide them with an opportunity to develop their career. The role may also be of interest to individuals who already hold qualifications and are looking for a new challenge.

The role will focus mainly on the Environmental Protection work areas and will also contribute to the wider environmental health function. The candidate needs to have a basic work area qualification and grounding in regulatory work and during their employment will be provided with an opportunity to either become a fully certified Environmental Health Officer; obtain a Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control or; a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
The responsibilities across the salary banding range from providing basic technical support to the work area and undertaking basic case work and extend to those undertaken by a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer.
