Band 3a to 3b (£24,796 to £25,185) Permanent with career progression to band 4a to 4b (£25,185 to £25,583) subject to pay award. 37 hours per week, based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough.

If you have a passion to work with people and take on new challenges, then the demanding and rapidly changing environment of West Lindsey District Council's Customer Services Team is right for you. We have a busy Public Services Hub and Contact Centre, so understanding the needs of our customers quickly, you will help residents receive the service that is right for them.

The role will involve developing skills to respond to customer contacts, primarily in the Contact Centre, in the Public Services Hub and in the Post Room, but also via digital channels such as emails and social media. In Customer Services, we offer and support customers to access the full range of Council Services and endeavour to offer a first contact resolution.

As a Trainee Customer Service Advisor, you will be supported to learn and develop your skills that will allow you to provide outstanding Customer Service whilst also responding to difficult, demanding and upsetting situations that can escalate quickly. You will progress skills that allow you to be resilient and show emotional intelligence to manage expectations and look after yourself.

You will be working in challenging environments, so must be able to demonstrate previous experience of providing a service to customers, good IT skills to input, retrieve and amend data, and the ability to listen and identify how you can assist customers accurately and efficiently.

The role is 37 hours per week and this will be between the hours of 8.30am and 17:00 Monday to Friday based at The Guildhall in Marshalls Yard. Additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the service.
